Occupational Therapist (LTC/SNF) – Travel Position

Pay: $1,955/week

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Oklahoma City, OK, on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate residents, design personalized care plans, and provide therapy to improve independence, mobility, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations to assess residents’ functional abilities, cognitive skills, and therapy needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.


• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, mobility support, strengthening, and adaptive strategies.


• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, safety techniques, and the use of assistive equipment.


• Accurately document therapy sessions, progress, and evaluations in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.


• Collaborate with therapy and nursing teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.


• Promote independence and improved quality of life through evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma (or compact license).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience, preferably in LTC/SNF settings.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.


• Compassionate and resident-centered approach with geriatric experience preferred.
