Occupational Therapist (LTC/SNF) – Travel Position

Pay: $1,955/week

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Fayetteville, NC, on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate residents, create personalized treatment plans, and provide therapy services to enhance independence, mobility, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, adaptable, and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to assess residents’ functional abilities and therapy needs.


• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.


• Provide therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, strengthening, coordination, and mobility support.


• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy objectives, adaptive strategies, and safe use of assistive devices.


• Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment sessions accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.


• Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care.


• Promote safety, independence, and improved quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina (or compact license).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support.


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.


• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with experience in geriatric rehabilitation.
