Compensation

Base Hourly Rate: $48.00 to $60.00/hour

Role & Responsibilities

• As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' occupational therapy needs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting assessments to identify students' sensory, motor, and developmental needs.
• Developing individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results.
• Providing direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
• Monitoring students' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Providing consultation and training to teachers and staff on strategies to support students' sensory and motor needs within the classroom environment.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required records.
• Participating in team meetings, IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, and other relevant meetings to contribute to students' educational plans.

 Qualifications:

• A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid California licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of sensory processing, motor skills development, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, COTAs, and other professionals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and report writing.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current practices in occupational therapy.
