Occupational Therapist - PRN

Responsible for providing quality resident care through assessing, interpreting, planning and 

implementing occupational therapy treatments.

• Demonstrates ongoing commitment to the Community Eldercare Services mission, vision, and 

values.

• Assesses resident condition, establishes goals and treatments in conjunction with the resident, 

and develops appropriate treatment plans.

• Verifies required authorizations have been obtained prior to initial evaluation or treatment 

session.

• Documents findings, treatments and other resident information in medical records.

• Codes procedures and therapy diagnoses timely and accurately.

• Demonstrates competency in the operation and navigation of the EMR software. 

• Ensures that appropriate treatment is performed in interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with 

physicians and others healthcare practitioners regarding resident health status.

• Provides resident education on care issues and use of various therapies.

• Serves as information and education resource for residents, families, physicians, and staff.

• Demonstrates current competency applicable to the therapeutic role.

• Additional duties as assigned.
