Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cert), Home Health, PRN

Works under supervision of Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician, consistent with hospital policies and procedures, standards of practice, and regulations as directed by the Rehab Director of Iredell Memorial Hospital. Administers occupational therapy treatment programs to facilitate rehabilitation of physically disabled patients and to maximize function and independence in accordance with Occupational Therapist plan of care. Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: PRN

• Current OTA certification and licensure in North Carolina as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a health care facility.
• Current driver’s license, valid insurance coverage, and reliable transportation.
• CPR certification required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. If not currently certified must complete within 30 days of hire date.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Work requires physical mobility and manual dexterity.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
