Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, Associate degree.

·         Connecticut registration required

·         Strong communication skills

Your Role

As a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on our acute care team, you’ll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role offers flexible, primarily weekend and holiday coverage—ideal for maintaining work-life balance.

You’ll work closely with an Occupational Therapist to support patient recovery through hands-on care, collaboration, and compassionate communication.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Occupational Therapists to assess patients’ abilities in daily living, work, and recreational activities
  • Help identify physical, cognitive, and psychosocial factors affecting patient function
  • Deliver targeted, age-appropriate therapy interventions to support recovery and independence
  • Educate patients and families using clear, engaging communication methods
  • Collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans and ensure the best outcomes
  • Track patient progress and document care to maintain continuity and meet professional standards
