Job Description - Ocean Import Specialist

As a personal contact for our customers, you are responsible for the entire process of handling our ocean import shipments.
You take care of our daily tracking and tracing and status information updates.
You communicate events proactively to our customers – if scheduled or unexpected it makes no difference. This includes also to provide the right documentations at the right timing.
The billing of shipments and win/loss analysis are part of your work.
You schedule and monitor deliveries to make sure that our customers’ due dates are met.
You are responsible to verify customs clearance status of our shipments.
For our customers and their supplier base – you always have a helping hand. You communicate permanently with our international branches and partners which are located worldwide.

You have professional experience and know-how in handling ocean freight.
Quality service and satisfied customers, whether internal or external, are important to you.
You have a passion for logistics and love the exciting world of global trade.
Experience on AS400 is beneficial but not required.
Knowledge of German or Spanish is helpful, but not a must.
