Job Title: Ocean Lifeguard – Rodanthe Beach

Location: Rodanthe Beach Access, Rodanthe, NC
Period of Performance: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day (Optional Task)
Reports To: Lifeguard Supervisor / Site Manager

Position Summary:
Provide seasonal lifeguard services at Rodanthe Beach Access, supporting swimmer safety, emergency readiness, and compliance with federal park guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and manage a 100-meter guarded swim area.

• Operate daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as scheduled.

• Respond to in-water emergencies and administer medical assistance.

• Uphold safety signage and rescue equipment protocols.

• Work closely with park rangers to enforce beach rules and assist visitors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18+ years old

• Certification from USLA or equivalent lifeguard authority

• CPR and First Aid credentials

• Demonstrated ocean rescue experience or training

• Maintain physical competency aligned with USLA fitness standards
