Job SummaryandDuties:TheJuror AssistanceSupportStaff is employedby the Officeof the ChiefJudge and reports to theJuryAdministratororhis/herdesignee.Thepositionrequires a highdegreeofintegrityanddiscretion, the interpersonalskills to interactcordiallyandprofessionallywithcourtstaff,jurorsandpotentialjurors, and the public and the abilitytocontribute as a memberof the JuryAdministrationteam.
Answertelephonecallsfrompotentialjurors,providingpoliteandcourteouscustomer supportinEnglishandSpanish,toidentifyjurorhardshipsandinformthemof the necessarystepstosubmitrequestsforhardshipsexcusalsordeferrals.
Assistwalk-inpotentialjurors,providingpoliteandcourteouscustomersupportinEnglishandSpanish to identifyjurorhardshipsandinform them ofthenecessarystepstosubmitrequestsforhardshipsexcusalsordeferrals.
Preparepetitandgrandjurysummonsesfor delivery to thepostoffice.
Perform such otherduties as aredirected by theJuryAdministratoror designee

Ability to sit at a desk and communicatevia telephone for extended periods of time
Ability to move around the jury room, courthouse,andelsewhere as required
Ability to intermittentlytwist to reachequipment and supplies
Ability to performsimple graspingandfinemanipulation
Strength to liftobjectsweighing up to 25 pounds
Ability to use a telephoneandcomputer
