Job Description - Office Administrator

The Clerk Office Administrator provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Base Training and Education Services (BTES) office. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, manages critical education databases, and ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of the training facility.
$35 - $35 an hour
Location: Location: Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico; Base Training & Education Services (BTES)
Hours: Normal business hours are 0730–1630, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support: Answer telephones, direct visitors to appropriate staff, and manage customer inquiries by scheduling appointments and making referrals.
Data & Resource Management: Maintain databases for training enrollment and completion, analyze trends for monthly reporting, and monitor over 4,000 Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) service members.
Systems Administration: Utilize the Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS) to update education codes, grades, course enrollments, and exam schedules.
Testing Coordination: Schedule students for examinations and serve as a test proctor while maintaining strict security of all exam materials.
Facility Support: Set up briefing rooms for events, maintain a continuity book of online learning resources, and monitor computer laboratory equipment for malfunctions.
Compliance: Adhere to Department of Defense (DoDI) and Air Force Instructions (AFI) and maintain working knowledge of Privacy Act Information (PII).

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of an Associate’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field from an accredited U.S. institution.
Experience: At least one year of professional or volunteer experience in Adult/Higher Education, DOD training management, or an equivalent field.

Skills

Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional and the ability to troubleshoot non-complex software issues.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English.

Security: Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) background investigation
