💼 What You’ll Do

No two days are the same—but here’s a snapshot of your impact:

• Manage and maintain high-volume billing systems for mental health services
• Keep databases accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready
• Support clinical teams with financial and documentation processes
• Coordinate schedules for psychiatrists and client appointments
• Lead and support administrative staff, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Prepare reports, track data, and ensure compliance with DMH standards
• Oversee client records from intake to discharge
• Assist with audits, reporting, and eligibility verification (Medi-Cal and more)
• Help train staff and improve workflows for efficiency and compliance
• Act as a key communication bridge across teams

🎯 What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications)

• Associate’s degree in Business (or related field)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• 1–3 years of management experience
• Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Zoom, email, databases—you name it)
• A growth mindset and commitment to professional development
• Valid driver’s license + required auto insurance
• Ability to pass background check + current TB test

• You’ll stay active (walking, standing, multitasking) and spend time at a computer
• Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) and travel to trainings or clinic sites may be required

ABOUT IRL

The Institute for the Redesign of Learning (IRL) is a multi-service, community-based Special Education, mental health, job development, and training facility for special needs children, students, and adults. IRL began in 1974 when its founder, Nancy J. Lavelle, Ph.D., created the Almansor Education Center located in a church on Almansor Street in Alhambra, California. With the belief that every student has the ability to “take charge” of their own learning process, Dr. Lavelle established a unique environment and individualized curriculum and created appropriate support and enrichment services designed to turn student and client learning failures into learning successes. Now over forty years later, the Institute for the Redesign of Learning offers six programs designed to provide a continuum of care for individuals with Special Needs, ages infants through adults, serving children, students, and clients throughout the greater Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley communities.
