Job Description - Office Assistant

Job Summary: The Office Assistant is primarily responsible for completing various office tasks related to new hires, invoicing, payments, customer services, and store operations.


Pay for this role: $18.00 per hour. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Receive paperwork and verify information matches.

  • Retrieve and open mail. Direct to the appropriate person or department

  • Work with salesmen to fix errors in accounts receivable

  • Verify what is being paid and apply payments in accounts receivable

  • Assist with the preparation of company documents, reports, and presentations.

  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate person or department.

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and other general administrative tasks.

  • Take credit card payments from customers and apply appropriately.

  • Reconcile daily cash reports/count money.


Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Office or Administrative related experience preferred. 

  • Ability to analyze problems and implement sound business resolutions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • General knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
