Job Description - Office Auto Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mechanical Operations Coordinator to join our team. This office-based role bridges hands-on mechanical expertise with administrative and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage records, coordinate schedules, and support our mechanical team from an office setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update records of mechanical equipment, Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and repair costs using data provided by the mechanical team.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for mechanical tasks, leveraging your technical knowledge.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as processing work orders, invoices, and warranty claims related to mechanical operations.
  • Provide technical input during project planning or equipment upgrades, drawing on your mechanic experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic (automotive, industrial, or heavy machinery).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification in mechanics or administration is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with inventory management or scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Prior office or administrative experience in a technical or mechanical environment.
