General Description:
Under the general supervision of the Director, Community Medical Clinic, the Office Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of clinical and technical services at the Community Medical Clinic serving financially eligible clients. The Office Coordinator participates with the clinical staff in assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating plan of care to ensure quality, appropriateness, timeliness and effectiveness of service rendered. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate training, quality assurance monitoring and assists in supervision of the clerical office staff. Monitors and assists staff in preparing charts, making of appointments, billing, and clericals tasks at front desk.
- Communicates with Employers regarding appointments, for insurance purposes, and obtaining information for new client accounts.
- Communicates with patients regarding call in requests after reviewed by nurse or provider. Coordinates between the employer and the patient appointments.
- Obtains and organizes patient information in charts prior to examination, makes sure all proper paperwork is distributed between the insurance company and employer.
- Enters work orders, participated in weekly informational staff huddle. Maintains inventory control for medications, office, and medical supplies by assisting in the ordering process with management.
- Monitors front and back office daily schedules to ensure accuracy and timeliness in performance of clerical and technical staff. Reports back to management when help is needed in daily tasks and scheduling.
- Assists in data collection and performs quality assurance monitoring.
- Participates in community outreach activities on behalf of the clinic. Attends health fairs and health related events meetings as director’s designee as requested.
- Coordinates with hospital scheduling for diagnostic testing and communicates schedule back with employer and employee.
- Invoices all contracts after billing has been completed.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area
Requirements:
Formal Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Work Experience:
- 1 years to < 2 years related experience required.
