Firm: March Capital


Location: Santa Monica, CA


Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire


Team: Operations


Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 5 days a week, onsite


Reports To: Chief Financial and Administrative Officer



Role Overview: March Capital is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and welcoming Office Coordinator to be the face of our Santa Monica office. This person will ensure seamless day-to-day office operations and foster a warm, professional environment for our team and guests. The ideal candidate leads with hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in running an organized, inviting, and efficient office.

The firm specializes in high-growth technology investments, primarily focusing on AI-enabled software businesses transforming enterprises across major sectors of the world’s economy. Under the leadership of Co-Managing Partners Jamie Montgomery and Sumant Mandal, the firm has grown to a team of over 30 professionals, managing $1.65B+ in capital over 4 funds and across 25+ companies.


 


Key Responsibilities:



Daily Office Operations:



  • Open and close the office daily, keeping the common spaces and conference rooms organized.

  • Order and facilitate catered office lunches, snacks, and beverages.

  • Manage office supplies, kitchen appliances, and office equipment, ensuring everything is fully stocked and functioning.

  • Set a positive first impression for all visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately. Notify company personnel of visitor arrivals and offer refreshments to visitors.


 


Meeting & Technology Support:



  • Coordinate daily meeting room schedules and partner with Executive Assistants to troubleshoot conflicts.

  • Serve as the first line of defense for ad-hoc tech issues, including Zoom calls, conference room AV, IT needs, printer issues, and software troubleshooting.


 


Administrative Support & Vendor Management:



  • Compile and report monthly office expenses to the CFO.

  • Maintain up-to-date employee resources, such as directories and employee info.

  • Manage all general office communications and inquiries, coordinate with vendors and service providers, and serve as the main liaison with building management for maintenance, parking, and related needs.


 


Social & Event Coordination:



  • Take initiative to create team bonding and socializing opportunities— coordinating the internal social calendar, planning quarterly office events such as happy hours, dinners, and other activities, and assisting with event planning with guidance from the operations team.



What We Look For:



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; coursework in hospitality, business, or communications is a plus.

  • 0-2 years experience

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with a warm, polished, and professional presence.

  • Meticulous organization, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential matters.

  • Hospitality mindset and enthusiasm for supporting office culture and coordinating team events.

  • Comfortable adopting and learning new systems and technology.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Expensify is a plus.

This position is a contract to hire position that will last approximately six months while one of our existing team members is away from the office on a leave of absence.
