Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000


Job Summary:


The Coordinator provides high-level clerical and operational support to the AVP of Nursing Professional Practice and the Professional Development team. You will be the department's primary point of contact, managing schedules, coordinating professional development events, and maintaining critical documentation related to nursing certifications and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities:




  • Schedule Management: Coordinate complex calendars for nursing leadership, including scheduling department meetings, shared governance councils, and multidisciplinary committees.




  • Credentialing Support: Assist in tracking and maintaining competency records for the nursing staff.




  • Event Coordination: Provide logistical support for nursing orientations, "Skills Labs," and continuing education seminars (booking rooms, managing RSVPs, and preparing materials).




  • Document Control: Prepare, edit, and distribute departmental correspondence, policy updates, and meeting minutes. Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for audit readiness (Joint Commission/Magnet®).




  • Data Entry: Input and track clinical quality data or educational credits into the hospital’s learning management system (LMS) or spreadsheets.




  • Office Operations: Manage departmental supplies, process expense reports, and act as a liaison for internal departments like HR, Payroll, and Facilities.




Requirements:

 


  • High School diploma or Equivalency required, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2 - 3 years administrative experience required

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
