Position Details:
Under the direction of the Manager, this role provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient department operations. Responsibilities include front desk coordination, patient registration and scheduling, billing support, insurance verification, charge entry, and file and records management while maintaining strict confidentiality.
This position leads and supports clerical functions, including training staff on registration, scheduling, and data entry processes, while ensuring competency across systems such as EPIC and KRONOS. The role also assists with departmental coordination, physician support activities (including credentialing and communication), and monitoring workflows such as denials, productivity, and administrative reporting.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills, works collaboratively within a team environment, and maintains a high level of professionalism in supporting patients, providers, and departmental staff. A focus on accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence is essential.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required with coursework in clerical skills.
Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in a medical office setting.
Other: Typing proficiency required. Medical terminology required.
Preferred Experience: Five years of experience in a medical office setting.
