ABOUT THE ROLE
To continue advancing the impact we have across the communities we serve, Commonpoint is hiring a Office / Gate Attendant situated within the Pool Clubs.
Across the agency, our seasonal and part-time staff play a crucial role in driving our initiatives forward by supporting daily operations, program delivery, and organizational goals.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Agency Expectations:
Support agency initiatives by carrying out assigned duties accurately and efficiently, while following established processes and contributing to basic data collection, reporting, or documentation as required.
Use agency resources responsibly by following established procedures, safeguarding equipment and materials, and/or supporting cost-effective operations.
Work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and cross-department teams to ensure clear communication, timely task completion, and a positive, respectful work environment.
Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for staff, partners, and the public, and promptly report concerns or incidents.
Role Expectations:
Responsible for greeting and checking in members at the front gate.
Responsible for collecting and submitting guest and membership fees.
Responsible for maintaining communication in the office with members, via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Assisting the Director and Managers with administrative tasks, including tracking metrics and creating flyers.
Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the main office.
Maintaining an inventory of office supplies.
Job duties are subject to change based on changing needs.
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY ATTRIBUTES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 15 years of age
Prior experience in customer service, front desk, or administrative support preferred.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact professionally with members and guests.
Basic proficiency in computer systems (email, data entry, spreadsheets; Salesforce or similar CRM a plus)
Ability to handle payments accurately and responsibly, including cash, credit, and member accounts.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, friendly, and customer service–oriented demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling member information.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to adapt to changing responsibilities and operational needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS & JOB DETAILS
Consider the following:
Position is seasonal, typically running May through September, aligned with Pool Club operations.
Work is performed primarily in a front gate/office setting, with both indoor and outdoor exposure depending on setup.
Requires ability to sit, stand, and interact with members for extended periods of time.
High level of member interaction, including check-in, answering questions, and resolving basic concerns.
Responsible for handling payments, including collecting guest fees and processing memberships.
Requires consistent use of phones, computers, and administrative systems.
Involves supporting administrative tasks, including tracking data, updating records, and assisting with flyers or communications.
Must maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office/front gate environment.
Schedule includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
Requires ability to manage high-volume periods, especially during peak entry times.
Expected to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
May require coordination with multiple departments and leadership staff.
Role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and real-time problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays during the pool season.
JOB DETAILS:
Location: Bay Terrace
Pool Club Dates: 5/15/2026-9/20/2026
Working schedule: 20hr - 35hrs per week
