Position Overview: As a Legal Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team with administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys, managing legal documents, and assisting with various legal projects as needed.
Responsibilities:Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous mannerAnswer and screen incoming calls, take messages, and relay information to appropriate personnelAssist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearancesPrepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadingsOrganize and maintain physical and electronic filing systemsManage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and email correspondenceCoordinate document production and assembly for court filings and other legal proceedingsAssist attorneys with research, document review, and case management tasksProvide general administrative support, including photocopying, scanning, and faxingCollaborate with legal team members to ensure efficient workflow and completion of tasksQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or paralegal certificate preferredPrevious experience in a legal office environment or administrative role is highly desirableFamiliarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document formatsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAttention to detail and accuracy in workAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionBenefits:
