Job Description - Office Manager/Social Media Coordinator




Description

  

The Office Manager will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are general responsibilities associated with the position as directed:

  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items. 
  • Orders office supplies and restocks when necessary.
  • Point of contact for all building related issues, maintenance requests, etc.
  • Handle company travel; book hotel rooms, flights, rental cars, etc.
  • Regularly post/update company's social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Point of contact for marketing team; help coordinate marketing meetings, take notes, assist in marketing efforts when necessary.
  • Plan/Schedule team-building and company after-hours events.
  • Assist HR and Accounting departments with general administrative tasks.
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements of the role: The following are general requirements for an ideal candidate:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Highly organized and professional.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to change.
  • Ability to work quickly, independently, and with confidence.
  • Work well with others in a fast-paced, non-stop environment.
  • Perform duties with little to no guidance.
  • Flexibility to changing work conditions, assignments, and schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of social media and/or experience in social media management required.
  • Knowledge of scrap metal recycling industry a plus.
  • Bilingual a plus.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
