We are looking for a reliable and motivated Office Runner & Driver to join our team! This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of our law firm by ensuring attorneys and staff have the resources, deliveries, and assistance they need to serve our clients effectively.

What You'll Do

This position includes a combination of in-office support, local deliveries, and driving responsibilities.

Inside Office Support

• Prepare conference rooms for scheduled meetings and client conferences.
• Distribute incoming mail, faxes, and overnight packages throughout the office.
• Sort and distribute USPS, UPS, FedEx, and interoffice deliveries.
• Ensure daily mail is distributed promptly, generally by 10:30 AM.
• Keep office essentials stocked, including refrigerators, coffee stations, and copier supplies.
• Provide receptionist coverage and assistance when needed.
• Complete daily office errands and internal deliveries.
• Assist with bank runs and other office-related errands.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
• Prepare conference rooms, common areas, and break rooms for the next business day.
• Deliver outgoing packages to the building's designated shipping area and outgoing mail to the main USPS distribution center.

Outside Deliveries & Driving Responsibilities

• Complete local deliveries, pickups, and errands requiring transportation.
• Coordinate all outside assignments through the Runner Coordinator to ensure efficient scheduling and use of firm resources.
• Communicate promptly with the office regarding delivery updates, delays, or changes in assignments.
• Provide backup support for inside runner responsibilities when not completing outside assignments.

Our runners are an important part of keeping the office organized and operating efficiently. You'll work closely with attorneys, administrative professionals, and other team members to help ensure daily operations run smoothly.

Work Schedule

Inside Runner Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM or later, as needed.
• Lunch breaks are coordinated with the Office Administrator based on office coverage and business needs.
• Occasional after-hours errands may be necessary.

Outside Runner/Driver Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Schedules and assignments are coordinated to meet the needs of the firm.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Reliable vehicle in good working condition for local deliveries.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable using a smartphone, navigation applications, and basic technology.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented.
• Familiarity with the local area and surrounding communities is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

This is an active position that involves a combination of office work, walking, driving, and handling deliveries.

The ability to:

• Lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Walk and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
• Bend,      stoop, reach, and assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Safely operate a vehicle and navigate local delivery routes.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Maintain the physical stamina needed to complete daily assignments.
