Job Description:

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OREGON’S NATURAL RESOURCES!

As an Office Specialist 2 in Irrigon, Oregon, you will provide the primary administrative, operational, business, and clerical support for the Irrigon Fish Hatchery. Duties include:

  • Provide customer service to the public

  • Maintain agency/region standards regarding all policies and procedures adopted by ODFW for the hatchery

  • Perform a full range of administrative activities

  • Works alone, and must use independent judgment in making appropriate decisions concerning work methods

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;

-OR-

Option 2: An associate degree in any field; 

-OR-

Option 3: An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Attributes

  • Procurement and fiscal administration experience (End-to-end purchasing, vendor coordination, authorization workflows, inventory, and transaction compliance)

  • Data and records management experience (File systems, retention, audit trails, error checking, and data integrity)

  • Experience in using office software and systems required for daily operation (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Fleet Management System, Online Fiscal Report System)

  • Experience with policy and compliance

  • Organization, prioritization and attention to detail experience
