Officer Compliance IAH

The overall purpose and objective of the position is to: 

• Assist the Compliance Department in establishing and implementing an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct with special regard to the Americas, called Area 1.
• Advising and assisting the Area 1 in various day-to-day compliance matters.
• Monitoring and reporting results of the Compliance and Ethics efforts of the Area 1 of the Company.
• Provide guidance for the Compliance Department and senior management team on matters relating to Compliance, especially those related to Area 1. 
• Implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective Compliance program in Area 1.
• Support the Compliance department in any arising issue, as determined by their line manager or the Chief Compliance Officer.

Essential Requirements:  

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position or a position with similar responsibilities.
• Hold a higher education degree, preferably in the Legal or International Affairs field.
• High degree of verbal & written English is mandatory.
• Be ethics-oriented and possess a strong moral compass.
• Be trustworthy, honest and integer.
• Strong reporting and organizational skills, including maintenance and updating documentation databases.
• Possess excellent communication & social skills.
• Experience in training is considered an advantage.
• People and team oriented with the capacity to work independently as well.
• Ability to multi-task between several open projects; good time management skills.

Working Conditions

• The position holder is based in Houston. 

• The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs. 

• Occasional travel may be required. 

• Flexibility may be needed with working hours. The position holder shall keep informed their line manager on their whereabouts and the means of telecommunications through which they will be reachable for urgent company needs, while on company mission.
