Okie Staffing is hiring Machine Operators for Screw & Saw Machines.

We are hiring a Screw Machine / Saw Machine Operator to set up and operate screw machines, bar machines, multiple-spindle machines, and saw machines. This position will produce precision metal parts, read blueprints and work instructions, use measuring tools, inspect parts for quality, and keep machines and work areas clean and safe.

Main Duties

• Set up and operate screw machines, bar machines, multiple-spindle machines, and saw machines.
• Read blueprints, routers, drawings, and work instructions.
• Select tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, and machine settings.
• Install and adjust machine parts such as collets, bushings, stock pushers, cams, gears, stops, and tools.
• Use calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, ring gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Check first-run and sample parts to make sure they meet specifications.
• Make machine adjustments for proper timing, clearance, chip removal, and part quality.
• Replace worn tools and assist with basic tool sharpening as needed.
• Inspect, deburr, scribe, tumble, and verify finished parts.
• Report defective materials, equipment problems, or quality concerns to supervision.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and housekeeping.
• Follow all safety rules, quality standards, work instructions, and company policies.
• Assist other team members and support production needs as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred, but not required.
• Vo-tech or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must be willing to learn and accept training during machine set-up and operation.
• Ability to read drawings, routers, and work instructions.
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring tools.
• Intermediate English reading, comprehension, and communication skills required.
• Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work well with a team.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, and use hands, wrists, fingers, and arms repetitively. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and work around equipment areas, stairs, and catwalks as needed.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM; Friday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM

Overtime: Possible Saturdays as needed
