Omniplex Custodial Staff (Full time)

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED required. Experience in maintenance or related field, with a focus on facility upkeep required. Must demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and work effectively. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which includes a background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance Execution: Carry out daily maintenance tasks as directed by the Indoor Maintenance Manager, including repairs, cleaning, and equipment checks.


• Facility Readiness: Assist in preparing indoor facilities for events and competitions, ensuring all areas are safe, functional, and presentable.


• Equipment Upkeep: Perform routine checks and maintenance on indoor facility equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity.


• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during maintenance activities to prevent incidents and ensure facility safety.


• Supportive Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to efficiently address maintenance needs and improve facility conditions.


• Problem Reporting: Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the Indoor Maintenance Manager promptly for resolution.


• Inventory Assistance: Help manage the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and readiness for use.


• Attends all meetings as requested by the Athletic Director.


• Acts as a team member with other Parks and Recreation staff, embracing and supporting the vision and mission of the CPRST Board of Directors and the City of Cullman.


• Maintains sound business and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State laws, and CPRST system policies.


• Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics, working amicably with the Park Board, the Executive Director, Administrators, Personnel, and Community.


• Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.


• Works a minimum of a forty-hour work week, which will likely include nights and weekends, with hours varying based on time of year, events, and projects.


• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work exposes the employee to adverse weather conditions and hazards associated with traffic, electricity, chemicals, and fumes. Protective equipment is required such as gloves, safety glasses, clothing, and boots.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting while performing job duties. Exposure to moving mechanical parts. Must be able to routinely lift fifty pounds of weight without assistance.
