On Call EMT

Job Type: On-Call / Per Diem / Part-Time/Full Time

LGTC Group is looking for a on-call EMT in San Jose CA.

Job Summary:

The On-Call EMT is responsible for providing emergency medical care and transportation for sick or injured individuals in accordance with local, state, and national protocols. This position requires flexibility, quick response to call-outs, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls as dispatched.
   
• Assess patients' conditions and provide basic life support (BLS) care.
   
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.
   
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, medical staff, and law enforcement.
   
• Complete accurate and timely patient care reports and documentation.
   
• Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and vehicle at all times.
   
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and supply levels in the ambulance.
   
• Comply with all company policies, local EMS regulations, and HIPAA guidelines.
   

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.  
• Current EMT certification (state-specific and/or NREMT).  
• Valid CPR certification (AHA or equivalent).  
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.  
• Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  
• Ability to lift, move, and carry patients and equipment (minimum 100 lbs with assistance).  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of EMS or field experience.  
• Familiarity with local geographic area and healthcare facilities.  
• Bilingual (optional, depending on service area).
