On Call Medical Assistant/Patient Care Assistant-PRN-Internal Medicine-Provo

Position Summary: Our Endocrinology and Internal Medicine Provo department has an opening for a on call Medical Assistant /patient care assistant If you like working in a fast-paced office and being part of a team come join our office.

Essential Job Functions: Some of the duties specific to this position are to assist with both MA and receptionist duties. Patient care examinations and related tasks: Rooming patients, entering and recording all pertinent information into electronic medical records. Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms. Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with needed supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures. Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner. Creates and maintains tasks and documents all patient interactions. Call/Fax/ prescriptions per protocol. Working at the front desk taking payments and taking phone calls.

Qualifications:  Past MA or patient care assistance experience is required. Must have outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail. Must also be a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly and professional. Be able to multi-task and work efficiently. CPR certification required upon hire.

Hours: 0-40 hrs Monday-Friday.

Additional Notes: This is an oncall position that will be for 3 different offices. Endocrinology Provo, American Fork and Internal Medicine Provo. Must be willing to train and work all locations.
