Job Description - Onboarding Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant

 LaJoy Group, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Onboarding Coordinator / Administrative Assistant.  The position requires travel within Kalamazoo, Jackson, Macomb, Oakland, Wayne Counties and the surrounding areas.  All travel required is during work hours with use of the company car!
 
Pay Rate: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch. 
Benefits: Use of company car (for work travel), medical insurance, dental, vision, disability and life. Generous PTO and paid training. 
 
Job Responsibilities
Enrollments:
•    Travel to client homes to complete onboarding appointments (approximately 2 hours per appointment)
•    Virtual or in-person enrollments completed in the office (approximately 30 minutes to one hour per appointment)
•    Thoroughly explain paperwork and documentation requirements during employment.
•    Audit all paperwork, forms and documentation to ensure compliance prior to end of appointment.
•    Other duties as assigned.
 
Administrative Tasks: 
•    Filing
•    Accept deliveries and tracks accordingly
•    Assist with maintaining a cleanly and organized office. 
•    Pull and audit appropriate documentation for internal and external audits. 
 
Payroll
•    Assist with making phone calls regarding payroll related corrections
•    Assist with making phone calls related to training
•    Mailings related to payroll.
 
This is a new position and will require flexibility with newly assigned tasks.
 
Travel to the Bay City office is required at a minimum twice per month, with use of the company car. All travel required is during work hours!
 
Requirements:
•    High School diploma or GED.
•    Reliable vehicle, car registration, car insurance, and valid driver license.
•    Excellent communication and customer service skills, written and verbal. 
•    Prior experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.
 
This job requires a criminal background check. Convictions and pending felony charges are not an absolute bar to employment and will only be considered if required by law or there is a substantial relationship to the circumstances of the particular job or if bond ability is at issue.
