Job Description - Onboarding Specialist I

Overview: A As an Onboarding Specialist, you will be a crucial part of our onboarding operations, working to ensure the setup of our services creates a secure and reliable connection to our digital infrastructure. You will coordinate, configure, and identify validate the installation in the setting up of our services with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Position:  Onboarding Specialist I 

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. All candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance to Robinson, PA. No relocation is offered.

Travel: None. This position is onsite, in-office.

Hours: This position requires a rotating shift to support a 24/7/365 operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Essential Job Function and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and set up a variety of cameras, speakers, strobes, and other equipment.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot networking, security equipment, and operating system errors.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Channel Partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure that the setup meets customer expectations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports, documentation, and notation of actions performed.
  • Collaborate to Identify opportunities to enhance processes.
  • Contributes to the development of playbooks, procedures, training, and documentation.

Technical Knowledge & Skill:

This candidate will be expected to diagnose and resolve technical issues across a variety of hardware, software, and networking topics including but not limited to:

  • Windows & Linux Operating Systems
  • Network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Networking and configurations (Switching, routing, firewalls)
  • Access Control Platforms (Avigilon, Genetec, PDK)
  • Camera & Alarms (Axis, Pelco, Ubiquiti)
  • Video Management Software (Immix, Camect, Alpha Vision)

Preferred Skill(s):

  • Preferred certifications include MCSA, CCNA, Security+, and/or Network+
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field is valued but not required

Salary Description

  • $60,000/annual salary

Requirements

Experience & Education

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support and/or network support position
  • High School Diploma/GED or
  • Strong technical background with specific knowledge in servers or networking
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Detail oriented and organized approach while working in a ticketing system
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field is valued but not required 

Salary Description

$60,000 annually
