Preferred Care at Home of Alaska is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and dependable On-Call Operations Coordinator to join our team!
This is a unique part-time role for someone who enjoys a mix of office work, field visits, client and caregiver interaction, community outreach, and weekend on-call responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, organized, comfortable working independently, and eager to make a meaningful impact on the experience of our clients and caregivers.
Conduct client caregiver drop-ins and routine client check-ins.
Work approximately 10–20 hours per week, primarily Monday–Thursday, with a flexible combination of office and field work.
Spend mornings working in the office and afternoons in the field conducting visits, outreach, and other responsibilities.
Build relationships and represent Preferred Care at Home of Alaska within the local community through outreach and marketing efforts.
Assemble and deliver client and community gift baskets.
Help identify opportunities to improve the client and caregiver experience.
Communicate important client, caregiver, and scheduling updates to the administrative team.
The ideal candidate is:
Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
Comfortable working independently and managing their own time
Professional, compassionate, and confident communicating with clients and caregivers
Able to respond to questions and concerns in a timely manner
Eager to take initiative and identify ways to improve processes
Comfortable working both in an office setting and independently in the field
Someone who enjoys building relationships and being involved in the community
Flexible and willing to step in when additional support is needed
This position will provide Saturday and Sunday on-call coverage and will serve as a resource for clients, caregivers, and the administrative team throughout the weekend.
When appropriate coverage cannot be secured, the On-Call Operations Coordinator should also be willing and available to fill weekend caregiver shifts when needed.
Approximately 10–20 hours per week
Saturday & Sunday: On-call coverage
Monday–Thursday: Two days per week, with a combination of office and field responsibilities
Typical weekday structure: office work in the morning and field/community work in the afternoon
Weekday schedule can be flexible based on business and field needs
This is more than an administrative position. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships, support our caregivers and clients, represent our company in the community, and help shape the way we deliver care.
