On-Call Hospice LVN / LPN (Per-Diem)

This LVN Runner role is your chance to lock in consistent, low-interruption on-call shifts now—before the volume grows.

You'll support hospice patients who need urgent help after hours. Right now, most shifts are quiet. But this agency is expanding fast, and the need for skilled LVNs will grow with it.

  Respond to pages: med changes, comfort care, symptom management, patient death.

  Visit patients across Beverly Hills, Culver City, and parts of the Valley.

  Chart visits in HospiceMD before the shift ends.

  Keep RN Case Manager and Clinical Manager in the loop.

  
  

• 
  

  Low volume today = great return on time.

  
  


• 
  

  Volume is growing = room to pick up more shifts and earn more.

  
  


• 
  

  You’ll be early in the rotation—not fighting for scraps on a big team.

  
  


• 
  

  If you prove reliable, this role could grow into more hours, more pay, and more responsibility.

  $50/day just to be on standby.

  
  


• 
  

  $75–$100 per visit, based on distance.

  
  


• 
  

  Mileage reimbursed separately.

  
  


• 
  

  W-2 per-diem employment (not 1099).

  
  

• 
  

  California LVN license in good standing.

  
  


• 
  

  Hospice field experience—you’ve handled med changes, symptom crises, and end-of-life care.

  
  


• 
  

  Solid documentation habits (EMR = HospiceMD).

  
  


• 
  

  A reliable car and willingness to drive.

  
  


• 
  

  Comfort being the calm voice in emotional situations, especially at night.

  
  

• 
  

  You’ll rotate call days with at least one other LVN.

  
  


• 
  

  Most shifts = no calls or just one.

  
  


• 
  

  You must be able to respond quickly (within about 60 minutes) when a page comes in.
