The Museum Special Events Security Officer supports the safety of the Museum’s world-class collections, facilities, and guests while delivering a welcoming experience for all visitors attending our robust special events calendar. Reports to: Security Manager
Classification: Non-exempt/Hourly
Schedule: Will vary depending on availability and Museum’s Events Schedule
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr. (On-Call Special Events Rate)
Work Location: All MFAH Campus Locations
Position Summary
The On-Call Temporary Security Officer – Special Events supports the safety, security, and guest experience of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston during special events, exhibition openings, programs, and private rentals. This role plays a critical part in protecting the Museum’s world-class collections, facilities, and people while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all guests.
Assignments are scheduled on an as-needed basis and primarily occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
