ONEplace@kpl Associate

Position Summary: The ONEplace Associate is a trusted partner within the ONEplace team and in the Kalamazoo nonprofit community. This position supports the effective operation and delivery of ONEplace programs, services, and initiatives through program coordination, administrative support, information management, and community engagement. Working under the direction of the ONEplace@KPL Director, this position coordinates program logistics, maintains systems and resources, supports grant administration and reporting, and assists with the development and implementation of initiatives that strengthen the capacity of nonprofit organizations and leaders in the Kalamazoo community 

Duties and Responsibilities 

1. Provides primary administrative and information management support, including program support, outreach, services prep, coordination and other special projects.?  
2. Supports the development, coordination, and implementation of ONEplace programs and initiatives, including the Emerging Leadership Academy.  
3. Maintains systems and processes for tracking and documenting program evaluations and outcomes.  
4. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes data to support reports, projections, grant applications, and program budget development.  
5. Processes check requests, purchase orders, invoices, and other financial documentation in accordance with KPL procurement and financial procedures.  
6. Provides administrative support for the development and management of grant proposals initiated by the Director. Maintains records of grant requirements, provisions, deadlines, and reporting obligations.  
7. Orders, organizes, and maintains supplies, materials, and other resources necessary to support ONEplace programs and services.  
8. Represents ONEplace in relevant community initiatives, coalitions, and collaborations; builds and maintains relationships with a variety of local organizations; promotes services through external presentations and outreach activities.  
9. Supports the development and maintenance of nonprofit resource collections. Maintains the ONEplace Center’s materials and resources to ensure they are current, organized, accessible, and responsive to community needs, in collaboration with the ONEplace@kpl Director and KPL Collection Development Manager.  
10. Coordinates and maintains ONEplace’s social media presence in collaboration with the Director@kpl and KPL Marketing & Communications department.  
11. Coordinates logistics for virtual and in-person programs and events, including scheduling, materials, technology, communications, and other operational requirements.  
12. Manages the Nonprofit Employment Opportunities webpage, including reviewing and posting job submissions in accordance with established standards and employer requests. Maintains related postings on other internal communication channels as appropriate.  
13. Participates in departmental meetings, library-wide committees, and training opportunities & maintains positive relationships across all library departments.  
14. Performs other related duties and special projects that support the agency, department, and/or library as requested.?  

Schedule 

30 hours weekly; with availability between 9:30 – 4 pm; some weekends and evening. This position is hybrid.

Salary

$41,250 - $48,750; Comprehensive benefits package to include medical insurance (employee contribution); library paid dental, vision, life insurance; defined contribution retirement plan and generous paid time off.

1.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.  
2. Three years of experience in the nonprofit sector. 
3. Fundamental knowledge of ONEplace & familiarity with local organizations, institutions and community networks in the greater Kalamazoo area. 
4. Knowledge of nonprofit resources and collaborations. 
5. Experience in event and program planning. 
6. Nonprofit volunteer experience. 
7. Experience in anti-racism organizing and other equity trainings. 
8. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products. 

Desirable Qualifications 

1. Demonstrated website content management skill. 
2. Past participation in ONEplace Leadership programming.?  
3. Public speaking and/or facilitation experience. 
4. Currently Certified Nonprofit Professional administered by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance or willingness to secure.
