This position is within the MK-48 Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA), which provides critical support to the US Navy\u2019s Atlantic Fleet. This is a government facility that is comprised of a mixture of Contractor, Civil Service, and Military personnel. The Online Technician will perform various maintenance actions using detailed procedures and will have oversight from a direct Manager. Key responsibilities include MK-48 torpedo assembly, testing and troubleshooting.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of MK-48 Heavyweight torpedoes\n * Troubleshooting / repairing component failures\n * Transport and safe handling of ordnance\n * Cable routing / installation\n * Meticulous cleaning and inspection of components\n * Achieve multiple qualifications\n * Follow governing computer based job guides\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\n * High school Diploma or GED\n * Current Secret security clearance\n * Ability to lift 30 lbs. and able to wear steel toe shoes and other safety gear\n * Ability to pass an Explosive Handler Physical\n * Ability to obtain Arms and Ammunition Explosive Screening\n * Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Windows Desktop OS, Office Product suite\n * Ability to work in fast paced environment\n * Ability to work occasional overtime\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * AA Degree/2 year technical degree\n * 2 plus years MK-48 torpedo experience or technical school certificate\n * Other related experience\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $26.00 - $26.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
