Onsite Medical Technician

This specific post may include some travel to other local job sites, but will most often involve caring for workplace injuries at one consistent job site in San Rafael, CA.

As part of our team, you will:

• Answer and triage calls from our injury hotline
• Triage and provide advice to injured workers through telemedicine consultations
• Deliver basic medical care in alignment with OSHA’s First Aid Guidelines
• Focus on delivering high-quality care by treating as many injuries on-site as possible

We’re seeking EMTs, CNAs, LVNs, or individuals with strong medical experience who are confident in delivering independent, professional first aid care. All new team members will complete a comprehensive training module to ensure a clear understanding of OSHA-compliant workplace injury treatment protocols.

Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Cleaning and treating minor burns, cuts, scrapes, or abrasions
• Applying compressive bandages and dressings
• Recommending the use of non-prescription medicine
• Draining blisters
• Removing debris from the eyes
• Massaging muscle strains
• Applying the concept of R.I.C.E. to muscle injuries
• Attending monthly tailgate safety meetings
• Work hand in hand with the HR personnel to address injuries and follow up care 
• Assist with clinic referrals when elevated care is needed beyond first aid

Requirements:

• Have valid licensure for the position for which you are applying
• Possesses excellent verbal / written communication skills
• Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Have a positive and outgoing personality
• Great time management
• Possesses a valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle. 
• Have strong computer and technology skills
• Able to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
• Willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are
• Document findings and treatments accurately and succinctly

It's a Plus If

• Preferred - Bilingual (Spanish)
• You have relevant occupational health experience
• Familiarity with EMR software
