On-Site Technical Engineer

We are seeking an On-Site Technical Engineer with robust expertise in troubleshooting both hardware and software solutions. In this role, you will actively engage with clients, pinpoint issues, and collaborate with the team to devise effective solutions. Serving as an integral extension of our team, you will work closely with our partners to guarantee the seamless implementation of new products. Success in this role hinges on the swift resolution of technical challenges and the adept capture and communication of client feedback to our remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the resolution of triaging client issues effectively and serving as a liaison between BrightAI and customers; ensuring sustained operational success


• Serve as a liaison between clients and the internal team, collaborating to ensure the smooth deployment of new solutions during on-site engagements with our partners


• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot areas of concern


• Proactively identify and alleviate potential issues, contributing to the prevention of future pitfalls through the implementation of well-documented processes


• Apply logical and systematic thinking to efficiently solve problems, maintaining a strategic mindset in addressing challenges


• Demonstrate the ability to make clear decisions confidently, particularly when dealing with system breakdowns, ensuring swift resolution


• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues and repair as required.


• Follow procedures to build, test, and program low volume products.

Skills and Expertise

• 3+ years of proven results solving problems in the field of IOT and Mobile, consistently achieving tangible results


• 2+ year technical degree preferred


• Proficiency is building and repairing electromechanical systems.


• Proficient in using an oscilloscope, digital analyser, and digital multimeter to troubleshoot hardware to a component level on PCBs.


• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical prints.


• Proficient soldering skills, including placing and replacing both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and thru-hole components; IPC610 certification preferred.


• Proficiency is building and repairing electromechanical systems.


• Solved complex incidents adeptly with minimal direction; demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as collaborative team member


• Established and honed customer-facing and teamwork skills; excellent communicator with a client-focused approach and attention to detail


• Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills across diverse audiences, including various groups and organization levels


• Applied logical thinking with problem-solving, utilizing a systematic process of elimination and effectively multitasking


• Successfully completed tasks autonomously, ensuring timely while meeting specified requirements

• Familiarity with Linux and Ubuntu


• Proficiency in Docker usage
