The role focuses on building semantic models that enable interoperability, reasoning, knowledge representation, and explainable AI across clinical and healthcare enterprise systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\\- Design, build, and maintain healthcare ontologies and semantic models.\n\n\\- Define domain vocabularies, taxonomies, and relationships for AI-driven solutions.\n\n\\- Support knowledge representation for AI agents, decision-support, and clinical intelligence systems.\n\n\\- Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and AI engineers to translate knowledge into formal models.\n\n\\- Govern ontology lifecycle, versioning, and semantic consistency.\n\nHealthcare Ontology \u0026 Semantic Modeling\n\n\\- Develop ontologies using standards such as OWL, RDF, and SKOS.\n\n\\- Work with healthcare standards and terminologies (SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC, RxNorm).\n\n\\- Enable semantic interoperability across EHRs and healthcare data sources.\n\n\\- Support reasoning, inference, and rule-based logic for AI systems.\n\nAI \u0026 Agentic Solution Support\n\n\\- Enable AI and GenAI systems with structured healthcare knowledge.\n\n\\- Support agentic workflows, decision models, and explainable AI outputs.\n\n\\- Collaborate on RAG pipelines and knowledge graph integration for LLM-based systems.\n\n\\- Ensure semantic accuracy and safety for clinical use cases.\n\nTechnical Skills \u0026 Tools\n\n\\- Strong knowledge of OWL, RDF, SPARQL, and knowledge graph technologies.\n\n\\- Experience with ontology tools such as Prot\u00e9g\u00e9, TopBraid, or Stardog.\n\n\\- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, and healthcare data models.\n\n\\- Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI systems, including LLM-enabled solutions.\n\n\\- Programming or scripting experience in Python or similar languages (preferred).\n\nCompliance, Governance \u0026 Quality\n\n\\- Ensure ontologies align with clinical safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.\n\n\\- Support auditability, traceability, and explainability of AI decisions.\n\n\\- Define semantic governance policies and best practices.\n\nBasic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)\n\nRequired Skills \u0026 Experience\n\n\\- 5+ years of experience in ontology engineering, semantic modeling, or knowledge engineering.\n\n\\- Strong healthcare domain knowledge (clinical, payer, or life sciences).\n\n\\- Experience working with structured and unstructured healthcare data.\n\n\\- Ability to collaborate across technical and clinical teams.\n\nNice to Have; \n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n\\- Background in clinical informatics or biomedical informatics.\n\n\\- Experience with healthcare AI platforms or decision-support systems.\n\n\\- Knowledge of semantic search, reasoning engines, or knowledge graphs.\n\n\\- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, or related fields.\n\nSoft Skills\n\n\\- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.\n\n\\- Excellent communication skills to work with clinical and technical stakeholders.\n\n\\- Attention to detail and passion for semantic accuracy.\n\nWhy Join Us\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to shape the semantic foundation of AI-driven healthcare solutions, supporting intelligent agents, explainable AI, and interoperable healthcare systems at scale.\n\nAbout NTT DATA\n\nNTT DATA is a $30+ billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
