Seeking LBS1-Certified Special Education Teachers – Illinois Openings for 2025–2026
We're excited to welcome passionate and skilled Special Education Teachers to our Illinois partner schools for the upcoming academic year. If you hold an LBS1 endorsement and are committed to supporting students with a variety of learning needs, this is your chance to make a lasting impact in a supportive and collaborative environment.
In this role, you'll design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that reflect each student's strengths and challenges. Your instruction will be aligned with district and state learning standards and built on evidence-based practices to foster academic and personal growth. You’ll use ongoing data collection and progress monitoring to inform instruction and ensure that each student receives the right level of support.
Teamwork is a core part of this position. You’ll collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning experiences and promote student success. Regular communication and thorough documentation will be essential, as will your role in promoting positive behavior through structured, supportive interventions.
The position also involves active participation in IEP meetings, school-wide initiatives, and professional learning opportunities. You may work primarily with middle school students, adapting instruction to meet varied needs while empowering students with mild to moderate disabilities to thrive academically and socially.
Apply now to join a team that values innovation, inclusion, and every student’s potential.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (master’s degree preferred).
