OPERATING ENGINEER – 2ND SHIFT

Location: Dallas, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a highly skilled Operating Engineer to join a fast-paced facility environment where your technical expertise will make a direct impact. This role is ideal for a strong facilities professional with Central Plant Operations and MEP experience who can troubleshoot complex building systems and keep critical equipment operating at peak performance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• 
  

  Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple building systems

  
  


• 
  

  Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls, and structural systems

  
  


• 
  

  Apply strong technical expertise in at least one primary craft area, such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshoot commercial and industrial systems, identify root causes, and take corrective action

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and make necessary operational adjustments

  
  


• 
  

  Clean, inspect, calibrate, and replace components to maintain HVAC and associated equipment at peak performance

  
  


• 
  

  Support facility services, preventative maintenance, inventory control, purchasing, and contracted maintenance

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor outside contractors to ensure quality, pricing, and work meet expectations

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records

  
  


• 
  

  Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

  
  


• 
  

  Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to improve workplace safety

  
  

WHAT YOU BRING

• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent

  
  


• 
  

  5–7 years of commercial facilities maintenance experience

  
  


• 
  

  Strong experience with Central Plant Operations and MEP systems

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to analyze and troubleshoot commercial or industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems

  
  


• 
  

  EPA 608 Type II Certification required

  
  


• 
  

  Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently while supporting a team across multiple trades

  
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  

  EPA 608 Universal Certification

  
  


• 
  

  Two years of trade schooling in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC

  
  


• 
  

  Broad multi-trade facilities experience

  
  


• 
  

  Central Utility Plant experience
