Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee surgical services in a high-volume, Level II Trauma hospital. With 11 OR suites and approximately 550 cases per month, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care. Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for the daily operations of the Operating Room.

• Oversee approximately 40 FTEs in perioperative services.

• Ensure safe and effective patient care in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical outcomes.

• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation responsibly.

• Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and patient experience.

• Mentor, develop, and engage perioperative staff while fostering a culture of teamwork.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care OR management experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Active RN license (Kansas or Compact state)

• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ability to obtain and maintain within required timeframe)

Preferred

• BSN degree (Master’s degree a plus)

• Specialty certification (e.g., CPAN or CNOR)

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
