Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Travel Position
Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10s
Pay: $2521/week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide safe and compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR RN will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety, maintain sterile environments, and deliver high-quality perioperative care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and dedicated to supporting positive surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care throughout the perioperative process (pre-op, intra-op, and post-op).
Prepare patients and operating rooms for surgical procedures.
Assist surgical teams by monitoring patient status and maintaining sterile fields.
Administer medications and support anesthesia teams as directed.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and OR best practices.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in TN
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience
