Operations Assistant Job DescriptionDenver Language School (DLS) is a public, tuition-free language immersion charter school located in Denver. DLS provides an innovative academic program to reach the highest levels of student achievement through comprehensive language immersion education in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and French for middle school.DLS is a unique learning environment because students are learning content in the target language, spending between 50%-90% of their school day immersed in their chosen language.
The selected candidate will begin work at DLS on July 21nd, 2025 and their pay will begin on August 20, 2025. This is a full-time salaried position, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits
- The starting range for this position is currently $43,666 - $45,000 annually.
- 10 days of PTO with an option to roll up to 6 days to the following school year.

Essential Functions and Objectives
- Cover front desk and health room during school and after-school program hours.
- Answer telephone and greet parents, students, and visitors in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
- Sort mail for distribution and prepare mail for delivery.
- Ensure parents and other visitors sign in as appropriate.
- Assist with general school operations duties including daily attendance submissions, assistance with daily substitute teachers, and kitchen/lunch assistance (as needed)
- Follow procedures for daily arrival and dismissal, including dismissing early release students.
- May perform duties related to being the Principal’s Assistant, including scheduling meetings and calendar requests
- Other duties and tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers, keyboarding and word processing skills
- Appropriate oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with frequent interruptions
- Positive communication, interaction and work experience with diverse individuals
- Experience in a high volume office setting
