Located in Fremont, CA, SMP accelerates new product introductions, drives manufacturing innovation, and supports global production transfers. As part of Global Product Engineering\u2019s Mechatronics group, SMP delivers quality, cost efficiency, and scalable growth through operational excellence.\n\nJoin Lam as a Business Operations Analyst and play a key role in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of SMP. You will use data-driven analytical methods to guide decision-making, identify root causes, and eliminate operational issues. Leveraging strong systems knowledge and business process expertise, you will analyze data, develop meaningful metrics, and drive continuous improvement. By leading cross\u2011functional initiatives and clearly communicating progress, you will help embed best practices and advance operational excellence at Lam\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Own and drive operational performance for Semi Mechatronics Products by defining, measuring, and publishing core KPIs that ensure demand is met on time while optimizing efficiency, capacity, and output.\n * Lead cross\u2011functional operational execution, acting on behalf of the General Manager to align engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance teams around priorities and corrective actions.\n * Identify performance gaps through structured gap analysis across systems, processes, and workflows, and translate findings into clear, actionable improvement plans.\n * Assess operational risks and forecast outcomes, proactively identifying constraints, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies to protect cost, quality, delivery, and growth objectives.\n * Deliver data\u2011driven, prescriptive recommendations to leadership, enabling timely decisions and driving accountability for execution.\n * Standardize and improve operational processes, identifying non\u2011standard work instructions, process breakdowns, and best\u2011practice gaps across local and global operations.\n * Drive and sustain process change by coordinating cross\u2011functional teams, tracking progress, and ensuring adoption of agreed\u2011upon solutions.\n * Ensure compliance with analytics, reporting, and data governance standards, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and credibility of operational insights.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor\u2019s degree; or 12 years and a Master\u2019s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories \u2013 On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. \u2018On-site Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. \u2018Virtual Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.\n\nSalary\n\nCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.\n\nThe above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
