Job Summary:

The Operations Business Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day business operations within an area. This role serves as a liaison to department leadership, ensures compliance with organizational policies, and implements process improvements to enhance performance and service delivery.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including facilities management, workspace coordination, and infrastructure support, in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate office events, meetings, and employee engagement activities to support a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Manage storage operations and inventory control, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and compliance standards.
  • Lead safety and security operations, including emergency preparedness, incident reporting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal teams, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding materials and resources for new staff and manage background checks for covered personnel.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support hardware, software, and communications infrastructure; educate staff on available IT support resources and proper reporting channels.
  • Provide operational advice to department leadership, contributing to long-term planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management or another related field (required)

Experience:

  • Five years of related experience (required)
