The Operations Business Partner role serves as the primary liaison between retail stores, channel managers, HR, and leadership teams. This position ensures consistent communication, smooth execution of initiatives, and alignment of business priorities across all retail and distribution channels. The role emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and follow-through, supporting both frontline operations and executive leadership.
Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 Per Year, Based on Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Business Alignment & Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact between retail stores, channel managers, and HR to align business goals and execution.
- Support Store Managers in aligning with channel initiatives, sales campaigns, and operational priorities.
- Communicate key updates, policies, and expectations to ensure consistency across all locations.
- Translate business priorities into clear, actionable communication for frontline teams.
- Maintain consistent messaging across functions to reduce duplication, confusion, or misalignment.
- Support leaders during performance review cycles, disciplinary actions, and recognition programs.
Reporting & Feedback
- Consolidate updates on execution challenges, workforce concerns, and process improvements.
- Provide concise updates for leadership meetings on cross-functional alignment.
- Track and report on operational performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Gather and consolidate input from stores, DCs, and channel teams for executive reporting.
- Drive automated reporting in partnership with IT, HR, and Channel Managers.
- Create and distribute regular updates on performance metrics, initiatives, and policy changes.
- Share best practices across stores and channels to enhance consistency and efficiency.
Training & Workforce Management
- Partner with HR and retail pod groups to identify training needs and skills gaps.
- Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing workforce planning for Store Leaders.
- Ensure effective rollout of training programs for leadership, sales, customer service, and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR and Store Leaders to assess staffing needs.
- Provide clarity to Store Leaders on cross-departmental directives.
Coordination of Initiatives
- Support the rollout of promotions, operational changes, and channel-driven initiatives.
- Track timelines, monitor deliverables, and provide leadership with status updates.
- Ensure stores and DCs have resources, guidance, and clarity for execution.
- Coordinate with Store Leaders and DC leadership on inventory, product availability, and campaign readiness.
Issue Escalation & Resolution
- Serve as the first point of contact for operational issues raised by stores or DCs.
- Direct concerns to the appropriate function (HR, Channel, Supply Chain, etc.) and ensure resolution.
- Identify recurring issues and escalate insights for continuous improvement.
- Partner with HR and Store Leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolution.
Relationship Building
- Build trust and strong working relationships with Store Managers, DC leaders, HR, and channel managers.
- Act as a neutral facilitator to bridge cross-functional differences.
- Promote teamwork and alignment across all stakeholders.
