Job Description - Operations Coordinator

Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is an hourly position in Manteno, IL that reports to the Operations Manager. This position is responsible for administrative tasks linked to the operations department.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

  • Understand & follow all standards, food safety policies & procedures.
  • Responsible to close all mustard, soup and salad jobs. 
  • Production clerk will work in collaboration with supervisors & inventory team to check, adjust & close the production jobs.
  • Gather/enter all data to close salad pack/mustard jobs.
  • All jobs must be closed on a timely manner.
  • Production clerk will support the data collection & elaboration of continuous improvement projects to register & document the settings of the lines. 
  • If no variances, all jobs must be closed daily for prior day. 
  • If variations on open jobs, investigate, research, and reconcile in person or on the floor all deviations for job closing on targeted days procedures.  
  • Assist in the Investigation of inventory discrepancies, analyze root causes, & supply solutions.
  • Support physical inventory processes.
  • Production clerk will be involved in the final documenting of Training, SOP, SSOP, OPL (as supplied from Ops management).
  • Production clerk will be responsible for other administrative tasks linked to operation departments.
  • Recommend inventory adjustments for inventory reconciliations to the management team.
  • Work with production, quality, receiving & purchasing to resolve issues & improve the day-to-day operation in the factory.
  • Review processed production records for accuracy & resolve any problems timely.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Highly organized, detail orientated, self-motivated & able to work well with others.
  • Excellent administrative judgment with the ability to multi-task & coordinate tasks that support the staff.
  • Strong team-oriented personality that works well in a fast pace, ever changing environment.
  • Talent for introducing innovative administrative systems & programs.
  • Strong analytic & communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Proficiency with PC operating system, office support software, including MS Office.
