Operations Coordinator

As an Operations Coordinator, you will oversee operational activities within your area of expertise, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of site operations. Your role will involve coordinating various functions such as Health, Safety, and Environmental, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement, and more as defined by leadership. You will represent the site in community outreach events and manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees. Furthermore, you will ensure payroll data accuracy and identify opportunities for improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists staff in operational activities pertaining to delegated area of expertise; including but not limited to Health, Safety, and Environmental, grower accounting, field operations, plant operations, human resources, accounts payable, procurement and/or other areas defined by leadership;
• Participates in community outreach event(s) representing the site;
• Enters and validates information into computer/data systems;
• Assists with the onboarding/offboarding of site employees;
• With some supervision, reviews and processes freight payments, bulk shipments and schedule deliveries;
• Follows and communicates payroll policies and performs audits to ensure polices are adhered to; Supports site initiatives and Production System improvements;
• Assists with grower pricing, maintains contract/grower vendor data in SAP and inbound/outbound trucking fleet during Harvest operations;
• Understands the site accounts payable process and completes payments to vendors;
• Supports the site expense management program and assists site employees with completion of expense reports;
• Supports with Production Orders, inventory management and SAP data entering.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of six years of relevant experience OR an AA/BS degree with two years relevant experience;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail;
• Understanding of manufacturing or a desire to learn agricultural operations;
• Strong customer focus and ability to connect and analyze data rapidly;
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights in a precise and actionable manner.
