Job Description - Operations Coordinator - Shipping Receiving Clerk

Primary Responsibilities:
• Answer and follow up on phone inquiries in a business oriented manner
• Greet visitors, drivers, and customers in a professional manner
• Maintain quality records and Mill Test Reports in accordance with Quality procedures
• Research and generate necessary paperwork for Service Center management
• Create and coordinate outbound and inbound paperwork for effective material movement
• Perform system stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy (SAP)
• Ensure inventory accuracy by reviewing documents from the floor are completed in accordance with SPS policy
• Maintain a clean and well organized office area
• Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required



Physical & Work Requirements:
• Office environment with occasional warehouse or yard exposure
• Facility is a multiple shift operation. Hours for this position are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday - No weekends.
• Smart casual attire, i.e. jeans and a nice shirt
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise:

• Strong computer, tablet, scanner, or mobile device skills
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid driver’s license

Pay and Benefits:



  • Starting pay of $20.00 an hour 

  • Quarterly profit sharing opportunity

  • Annual holiday bonus based on company performance

  • Opportunity to work overtime

  • 401k retirement contribution matching – 50% company match up to 6% of your annual wages

  • Company covers about 80% of the cost of medical insurance for you and your family

  • Paid personal time available for use as it accrues at 1 hour per week (52 hours per year)

  • One week of paid vacation after 6 months

  • Two weeks of paid vacation after one year
