The company is entering a significant growth phase focused on strengthening existing general contractor relationships, expanding its project and bid pipeline, and building a management team capable of supporting continued growth.
This is a newly created leadership opportunity for an experienced construction operations professional who can take ownership of day-to-day operations while also serving as a trusted relationship manager for general contractor clients.
The Operations Director will oversee the day-to-day operational and client relationship functions of the company's construction cleaning division.
This role requires someone who can move comfortably between operations, client relationships, scheduling, estimating, and crew coordination.
You may spend part of the day building trust with a general contractor's project manager or site superintendent and the next coordinating crews, reviewing project scope, or preparing a bid.
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required. You will communicate with general contractor contacts and office staff in English while working directly with Spanish-speaking field crews in Spanish.
Own the master schedule for all active construction projects
Coordinate crew assignments with site supervisors and field staff in English and Spanish
Proactively communicate schedule changes to general contractor contacts
Ensure crews have the supplies, equipment, and site access needed to complete projects
Monitor job progress and identify scope changes or potential change-order opportunities
Resolve operational issues quickly and keep projects moving
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for general contractor accounts
Maintain consistent communication with project managers and site superintendents
Build relationships with existing clients and identify upcoming project opportunities
Stay ahead of bid opportunities and engage with clients before formal RFPs are issued
Attend pre-bid meetings and scope review meetings
Coordinate with the company's sales resources on new account opportunities and existing account growth
Maintain accurate client and pipeline information in the CRM
Own the estimating process for construction cleaning bids
Review project scopes and use AI-assisted tools for preliminary scope analysis
Apply labor rates, material costs, and margin targets to develop competitive and profitable bids
Target a 48-hour turnaround on estimates
Manage approximately 2–5 bids per week
Track win/loss rates and identify pricing trends
Partner with the CEO on final approval for large or non-standard bids
Provide a weekly operations and pipeline update to the CEO
Maintain a current bid pipeline, including active estimates, stages, and expected close dates
Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure commitments to clients and crews are consistently followed through
Full professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
5+ years of experience in commercial construction, construction services, or a related environment
Experience working with general contractors, project managers, and/or site superintendents
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Comfortable representing a company in client meetings, on job sites, and by phone
Highly organized and disciplined with strong follow-up skills
Commercially minded with an understanding of pipeline, opportunity, and business growth
Proactive communicator who addresses issues before they become problems
Ability to work independently in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
$85,000 and up depending on experience
