Job Description - Operations Leader, Securitized Lending

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and drive operational excellence in our structured finance operations.

Position Overview:

As the CLO Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of our Collateralized Loan Obligation transactions, ensuring seamless execution, compliance, and risk management. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of CLO transactions, from deal structuring and documentation to ongoing portfolio management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Management:

Oversee the execution and administration of Collateralized Loan Obligation transactions, including deal structuring, documentation review, and coordination with legal, compliance, and external parties.
Portfolio Administration:

Manage the ongoing administration of CLO portfolios, including cash flow management, asset servicing, covenant compliance, and reporting to investors and rating agencies.
Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and transactional risks associated with CLO transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Cash Management:

Monitor cash flows and ensure timely and accurate payments to investors, lenders, and other stakeholders, in accordance with transaction documents and servicing agreements.
Data Management:

Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of data related to CLO assets, liabilities, and performance metrics, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for reporting and analysis.
Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, trustees, rating agencies, auditors, and legal counsel, to address inquiries and facilitate smooth transaction execution.
Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency enhancements in CLO operations, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline workflows and reduce operational risk.
Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry standards impacting CLO transactions and structured finance operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of CLO operations professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to support their growth and ensure high performance.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:

Collaborate with internal teams, including portfolio management, risk management, finance, and legal, to support business initiatives, address operational challenges, and drive strategic objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
6+ in structured finance, asset-backed securities, or related fields, with a focus on CLO operations, administration, or portfolio management.
Deep understanding of CLO structures, transaction documentation, legal agreements, and regulatory requirements governing structured finance transactions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, perform cash flow modeling, and assess portfolio performance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority.
Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members, foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, navigate ambiguity, and resolve issues proactively.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, including Excel, Bloomberg, and loan servicing platforms; familiarity with CLO-specific technology solutions is a plus.
